For my game media content i will be doing a series of video essays that will be analysing the evolution of video games from companies and genres. i will be breaking down the games in a few different ways from structuralist to non structuralists including
Game play – how they played in context to release and compared to competition and there modern day counter parts.
Graphics – comparing the system limitations as well as looking at trends of styles in the genre.
Story – looking to analyse if the story has cultural significance with us still and how it translates between cultures.
Technology – seeing how the developments in the video game industry have allowed for the series or genres to develop in different directions and evolve with limitations becoming broader.b
this topics may vary depending on the games we talk about to be more prevalent with the style of game play or story they posses.
